Kefir Avocado Dressing

This will make a salad taste more delicious while still being healthy.  It’s also delicious as a dip for vegetables.  Not only that, it looks really awesome.

I occasionally enjoy having a salad for a meal, especially if I eat something really unhealthy during another part of the day.  I feel balanced out.  However, lots of salads out there are healthy until you put the dressing on.  If I’m eating a salad with ranch dressing, that sort of defeats the purpose of the salad if my aim is to eat healthy.  That’s where Kefir Avocado Dressing comes in.

  • 1.5 cups of Kefir
  • 1 avocado (1.5 for a thicker dressing)
  • chopped basil and cilantro (to taste)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Combine ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

  1. I love avocado dressings but worry about fat content. Thank you for this great recipe!

  2. How long can I store this dressing? Should I store it in the refrigerator? Thanks!

  3. Hi Tara! Yes, it’s best to store this in the refrigerator. It is usually good for at least a week. Let us know if you have any more questions.
